Possible Tongue Appearance:

Cautions, Contraindications, Herb Drug Interactions:

  • This section is being researched, and is not completed.
  • This formula contains one or more toxic substances (while some Chinese herbs are toxic, it must be noted that many come prepared, or are combined, to mitigate their toxicity).

Preparation Notes:

  • Decoction. Modern dosage is often increased 2-3 times.
  • Bensky also lists 3 Grams of Li Pi (Fructus Pyri) as the last ingredient. Oddly, this substance is not in his 2nd or 3rd edition Materia Medica. I believe it is pear skin.
