Actions

Disperses Wind-Heat
Treats respiratory tract infection, especially with loss of voice and a sore, swollen throat.
Facilitates the Expression of Rashes
For early stage of measles.
Clears the Eyes
Benefits red, painful, swollen eyes and clears blurring of vision (especially due to wind and heat.)
Stops Spasms from Wind
Used when high fever causes spasms, delirium, or night terrors, especially in children.
Also used in formulas to combat tetanus.

Contraindications and Cautions

Contraindicated during pregnancy, and in exterior deficiency syndromes.
