Actions

  • Disperses Wind-Heat
    Treats respiratory tract infection, especially with loss of voice and a sore, swollen throat.
  • Facilitates the Expression of Rashes
    For early stage of measles.
  • Clears the Eyes
    Benefits red, painful, swollen eyes and clears blurring of vision (especially due to wind and heat.)
  • Stops Spasms from Wind
    Used when high fever causes spasms, delirium, or night terrors, especially in children.
  • Also used in formulas to combat tetanus.

Contraindications and Cautions

  • Contraindicated during pregnancy, and in exterior deficiency syndromes.
