- A Manual of Acupuncture (p. 258): Directly superior to Zanzhu BL-2, 0.5 cun within the anterior hairline, level with Shenting DU-24.
- Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion (p. 174): Directly above Zanzhu (BL-2), 0.5 cun within the anterior hairline, between Shenting (DU-24) and Quchai (BL-4).
Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 inch.
