- A Manual of Acupuncture (p. 428): Above the ear, in the depression 0.5 cun posterior to Shuaigu GB-8.
- Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion (p. 211): Directly above the posterior border of the auricle, 2 cun within the hairline, about 0.5 cun posterior to Shuaigu (GB-8).
Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 inch.
