Indications:

Deviation of the mouth & eye, pain of the face, toothache, swelling of the gums, jaundice. Commonly used for facial paralysis & TMJ

Pont Location:

A Manual of Acupuncture: 1 cun lateral to Chengqiang (REN-24), over the mental foramen.

Needling Method:

i. Perpendicular-oblique insertion medially and inferiorly into the mental foramen, 0.3 to 0.5 cun; ii. Transverse insertion 0.5 to 1.5 cun.
