Actions:
- Expels wind and heat
- Clears heat and benefits the throat and teeth
- Dispels fullness and treats diarrhea
Indications:
- Toothache, ophthalmalgia, sore throat, redness and swelling of fingers and the dorsum of the hand.
Pont Location:
- A Manual of Acupuncture: On the radial side of the index finger, in the substantial depression proximal to the head of the second metacarpal bone.
- Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion: When a loose list is made, the point is on the radial side of the index finger, in the depression proximal to the head of the second metacarpal bone.
Needling Method:
- Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
