Acupuncture Points on the Large Intestine Channel of Hand Yang Ming

  • Acupuncture Point Five Elements  Shu-Stream & Wood Point

Actions:

  • Expels wind and heat
  • Clears heat and benefits the throat and teeth
  • Dispels fullness and treats diarrhea

Indications:

  • Toothache, ophthalmalgia, sore throat, redness and swelling of fingers and the dorsum of the hand.

Pont Location:

  • A Manual of Acupuncture: On the radial side of the index finger, in the substantial depression proximal to the head of the second metacarpal bone.
  • Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion: When a loose list is made, the point is on the radial side of the index finger, in the depression proximal to the head of the second metacarpal bone.

Needling Method:

  • Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
