Acupuncture Points on the Pericardium Channel of Hand Jue Yin

• Meeting Point of the Pericardium, Gallbladder, Liver and Sanjiao Channels
• Point of the Window of Heaven

Actions:

• Unbinds the chest, transforms phlegm and descends rebellion
• Regulates Qi and dissipates nodules
• Benefits the breasts

Indications:

• Suffocating sensation in the chest, pain in the hypochondriac region, swelling and pain of the axillary region.

Pont Location:

• A Manual of Acupuncture: 1 cun lateral and slightly superior to the nipple, in the 4th intercostal space.
• Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion: In the fourth intercostal space, 1 cun lateral to the nipple and 5 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Needling Method:

• Puncture obliquely 0.2-0.4 inch. Deep puncture is not advisable. Moxibustion is applicable.
