Acupuncture Points on the San Jiao Channel of Hand Shao Yang

  • Acupuncture Point Five Elements  Ying-Spring & Water Point

Actions:

  • Disperses upper jiao heat and benefits the ears
  • Calms the spirit
  • Activates the channel and alleviates pain

Indications:

  • Headache, redness of the eyes, sudden deafness, sore throat, malaria, pain in the arm.

Pont Location:

  • A Manual of Acupuncture: Between the ring and little fingers, 0.5 cun proximal to the margin of the web.
  • Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion: When the fist is clenched, the point is located in the depression proximal to the margin of the web between the ring and small fingers, at the junction of the red and white skin.

Needling Method:

  • Puncture obliquely 0.3-0.5 inch towards the interspace of the metacarpal bones. Moxibustion is applicable.
