Acupuncture Points on the Stomach Channel of Foot Yang Ming

  • Acupuncture Point Five Elements  Jing-Well & Metal Point

Actions:

  • Clears heat from the Stomach channel
  • Clears heat, calms the spirit and restores consciousness

Indications:

  • Facial swelling, deviation of the mouth, epistaxis, toothache, sore throat and hoarse voice, abdominal distension, coldness in the leg and foot, febrile diseases, dream-disturbed sleep, mania.

Pont Location:

  • A Manual of Acupuncture: On the dorsal aspect of the second toe, at the junction of lines drawn along the lateral border of the nail and the base of the nail, approximately 0.1 cun from the corner of the nail.
  • Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion: On the lateral side of the 2nd toe, 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail.

Needling Method:

  • Puncture subcutaneously 0.1 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
