Indications:

  • For wasting thirsting dry throat, pain of chest & lat costal region, epigastric pain, vomiting.

Notes:

  • Today point is known as Yi Shu (Pancreas Shu).

Pont Location:

  • A Manual of Acupuncture: 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the eighth thoracic vertebra (T8).

Needling Method:

  • Oblique insertion towards the spine, 0.5 to 1 cun, or transverse-oblique insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.
