Field Guide: Roadmap

My Plan

Nothing here gets written because it seemed interesting that morning. Every topic is scored on eight measures first, and the queue is worked in that order.

This is the whole list, including everything we have not written yet.

What we score

Measure What it asks Weight
Demand How many people actually search for it, from our own 1.07 million search records first 20%
Evidence How strong the research behind it really is 20%
Benefit How much it helps if someone adopts it, which is a different question from how well studied it is 15%
Traction Whether we can realistically be found for it, given who else covers it and what we already rank for 15%
Connections How many other topics it ties together 10%
Safety Whether we can publish it without risking harm 10%
Direction Where the science is heading, and whether there is live research to follow %
Product fit Whether a product exists. Deliberately the smallest weight of the eight 5%

Two rules override the score entirely. A topic that scores low on safety cannot carry a product recommendation, whatever its product fit says. A topic with very little evidence behind it cannot become a protocol, because we are not going to tell people to do things on mechanism alone. It can still exist as an explainer.

Priority ranking

All 272 topics, ranked by priority. Priority runs 0 to 100 and is computed from the eight measures above rather than set by hand.

Topic Type Group Priority State
Quitting Smoking: What It Does to the Body and the Methods That Actually Work external: very high consumer and clinical search interest (how to quit smoking, quit smoking aids, does vaping help you quit); closes a top internal gap flagged by 6+ condition pages (erectile-dysfunction, male-fertility, macular-degeneration, periodontitis, asthma, infertility). practice Breathing 92 live
Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD / MASLD): what to do first restraint Affects roughly a quarter of adults worldwide and is rising with obesity and type 2 diabetes; high and growing search volume around 'fatty liver', 'NAFLD', 'MASLD' and 'reverse fatty liver', and it connects directly to our type-2-diabetes, metabolic-syndrome and weight topics. condition Metabolic 91 live
Insomnia: a plan that sticks, and where to start restraint log: 'insomnia' 758 + 'sleep' 131, the single highest-volume unmatched condition term. Gui Pi Tang already ranks, so the guide grafts onto a cluster we own. condition Sleep 90 live
Osteoporosis: keeping bone strong restraint Osteoporosis and its search cluster (bone density, DXA/T-score, hip fracture, calcium, vitamin D, bisphosphonates and their side effects, HRT and bone) are high-volume health queries central to aging and to women's health, where half the postmenopausal population is affected over a lifetime. Trust 3: the loading, balance and dietary levers are genuinely self-directed and low-harm, but every fracture-reducing medication decision, and the rebound-on-stopping and atypical-fracture cautions, is timed with a prescriber, and a spine fracture pressing on nerves is an emergency, so restraint stays careful. condition Women's 87 live
The Mediterranean Diet: What It Does, Why It Works, and How to Start log: strong external volume for 'mediterranean diet' and its condition variants, but the term is saturated by mainstream health and recipe sites, hence traction 3. Evidence and benefit are the highest available for any diet: PREDIMED randomized CV and diabetes results plus a 1.5M-person mortality meta-analysis, all pointing the same way, hence direction 5. practice Metabolic 86 live
Menopausal Hormone Therapy: what it does, the risks, and when it fits restraint Hormone therapy (HRT/MHT) is the highest-intent search around menopause and the intervention our women's cluster (menopause, perimenopause, hot flashes, PMS) covers around but not head-on. Evidence 5: the trial record is unusually deep (WHI, ELITE, KEEPS, large route and breast-cancer cohorts). Trust 3 and restraint sensitive: it is a prescription-only, individualized medical decision with real benefit-versus-risk trade-offs, a history of public misreading of the 2002 result, and a marketing layer (compounded 'bioidentical' hormones, salivary testing) that needs restraint and no product bridge. condition Women's 86 live
ADHD: treatment that works, and where to start restraint ADHD is among the highest-volume health search terms across both paediatric and adult intent, spanning diagnosis, medication, natural remedies, diet and supplements, and it connects to our sleep, anxiety and cognition topics. Trust 3: the sleep, exercise and dietary levers are self-directed and low-harm, but stimulant medication is a controlled prescription with real tolerability trade-offs and unregulated focus/calm supplements carry adulteration risk, so restraint stays careful with no unsupervised product bridge on the prescription layer. condition Mind 85 live
Erectile Dysfunction: what works, and the heart check it warrants restraint 'erectile dysfunction' and 'impotence' sit among the higher-demand men's-health condition terms, carrying both informational and strong commercial intent. Careful restraint: the effective tablets are prescription and carry a dangerous nitrate interaction, and the market is saturated with 'male enhancement' products adulterated with undeclared drugs, so no aggressive product bridge whatever the traffic would be worth. The self-directed levers (exercise, diet, weight loss, quitting smoking, pelvic-floor training) lead the page. condition Men's 85 live
Weight Loss: The Single Strongest Lever for Metabolic Health, and What the Trials Actually Show log: enormous external demand for weight loss and its downstream conditions (diabetes remission, fatty liver, sleep apnea), but the space is saturated by commercial diet and weight-loss sites, hence traction 2. Our distinct angle is weight loss itself as the evidence-graded lever, the honest nulls (Look AHEAD cardiovascular, diet-composition), and the biology of regain, which the commercial pages omit. practice Metabolic 83 live
Yoga: What It Does, What the Trials Found, and How to Start log: very high standing search demand for yoga and yoga-for-X (back pain, anxiety, blood pressure); strong adjacency to our tai chi and qi gong home ground, so we can hold the tradition and the trial record together credibly. practice Mind 83 live
Balance and Fall Prevention: The Strongest Lever, and the Causes That Are Not in Your Legs log: no internal volume; adjacent 'dizziness' 216, 'vertigo' 166. Traction 5: high-stakes topic, weak incumbents outside clinical guidelines, and Tai Chi gives us a TCM-native entry nobody else has. practice Movement 82 live
Acupuncture: What the Evidence Shows, Where It Helps Most, and How to Start log: high standing search interest in acupuncture; site authority is exceptional here because this is our own tradition and we can hold the trials and the classical view together, which almost no one else does. Fills the top content gap: eight conditions need a positive acupuncture practice page and none existed. practice Pain 81 live
Neuroplasticity owner directive 2026-07-31 (research batch); strong public and creator interest (Topic Radar), search volume not yet measured in the log. biology Mind 81 live
Sodium Reduction & DASH Diet: What Lowers Blood Pressure, and How to Do It log: strong external volume around 'DASH diet', 'low sodium diet' and 'salt substitute'; blood pressure is one of the highest-demand health topics. Evidence is top-tier (multiple large RCTs including DASH, DASH-Sodium and the SSaSS cluster trial, plus Cochrane and dose-response meta-analyses). Traction 3 because general nutrition sites cover it broadly, but few pair the trial base with the two-lens reading and the potassium-safety detail. practice Metabolic 81 live
Type 2 Diabetes: the levers that move it restraint log: 'diabetes' 514, the fourth-highest unmatched condition term, with 'obesity' 159 behind it. Trust 1: readers on glucose-lowering medication can be harmed by unsupervised change, so careful restraint and no product bridge, whatever the traffic would be worth. condition Metabolic 81 live
How Industry Shapes Science owner directive 2026-07-31 (research batch); strong public and creator interest (Topic Radar), search volume not yet measured in the log. science Foundations 80 live
High Blood Pressure: measuring it right, and lowering it restraint log: 'hypertension' 434, the eighth-highest unmatched condition term, with 'cholesterol' 152 and 'stroke' 126 nearby, and Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin (891) already ranks for the classical pattern. Trust 1: readers on antihypertensives, so careful restraint. condition Metabolic 80 live
Insulin and Glucose: How the Body Handles a Meal log: 'diabetes' 514 is the fourth-highest unmatched condition term, with 'weight loss' 308 and 'obesity' 159 behind it. Traction 3: glucose explainers are crowded by dedicated diabetes sites that do them well. biology Foundations 80 live
Menopause and Hot Flashes: What the Transition Is and What Helps restraint log: 'menopause' 362 + 'menopausal' 138 + 'hot flashes' 109 + 'night sweats' 101 = 710 family. Our gynecology content is deep, so the guide becomes the hub. condition Women's 80 live
Tai Chi and Qi Gong: What They Do, the Falls Evidence, and How to Start log: adjacent TCM-practice interest; site authority is unusually strong here. Traction 5 because we can hold both the tradition and the trial data credibly and almost nobody else can. practice Movement 80 live
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: What It Treats, How Strong the Evidence Is, and How to Start restraint log: feeds from the largest unmatched mental-health condition terms, chiefly 'anxiety', 'depression' and 'insomnia' (758, the highest-volume unmatched condition term), plus 'stress' and 'therapy'. Evidence 5: the best-evidenced non-drug treatment for depression, anxiety and chronic insomnia. Connectivity 5: it is a first-line lever across depression, anxiety, insomnia and chronic pain. Money 0: it is a therapy, no product to sell, and the free and guided-self-help routes are named first. practice Mind 79 live
Constipation: which type you have, and what to do restraint log: 'constipation' 612, the third-highest unmatched condition term. Fibre, hydration and the post-meal walk all feed it, and Ma Zi Ren Wan gives us the classical differentiation. Careful restraint because a change in bowel habit after 50 is a red flag. condition Metabolic 79 live
Low Back Pain: why most improves, and what to try first restraint log: 'back pain' 153 + 'low back pain' 88 + 'lower back pain' 77 + 'sciatica' 152 = 470 family, inside a musculoskeletal cluster over 510. condition Pain 79 live
Where the Drugs Came From: The Natural Sources Behind Modern Medicines log: steady volume on individual drug origins (willow bark, ma huang ephedrine, artemisinin). Connectivity is the real score: this page links the herb database to the pharmacopoeia, which nothing else on the site does. science Foundations 79 live
Gout: Lowering the Uric Acid That Drives It restraint Gout is a high-volume, purchase-and-search-active condition (diet questions, uric-acid testing, tart-cherry and supplement demand) and one of the few forms of arthritis where the reader's own diet and weight move the disease markedly. Trust 2: the food and weight levers are genuinely self-directed and low-risk, but a single hot joint can be an infection and any urate-lowering medication decision is timed with a prescriber, so restraint stays careful. condition Metabolic 78 live
Headache and Migraine: telling them apart, and easing them restraint log: 'headache' 425 plus 'migraine' 246 = 671, with 'neck pain' 116 adjacent, and Tai Yang is our most-searched point at 156. Trust 2: thunderclap headache and other red flags mean the page must route to care before it does anything else. condition Pain 78 live
Iron-Deficiency Anemia: How to Correct It and Find the Cause restraint Iron-deficiency anemia is the most common nutritional deficiency worldwide and a high-volume search term spanning symptoms, testing, supplement dosing, diet and pregnancy. Evidence 5: iron replacement reliably corrects the anemia, the alternate-day dosing and intravenous-iron findings are well-characterised, and ferritin is a validated diagnostic. Trust 2: the diet and dosing levers are genuinely self-directed and low-risk, but iron-deficiency anemia in a man or postmenopausal woman can be the presenting sign of a GI cancer and iron is harmful when the anemia is not truly iron-deficient, so restraint stays careful with no unsupervised bridge on the investigation and IV-iron layers. condition Metabolic 78 live
PCOS: what it is, and what helps restraint PCOS affects roughly 8% to 13% of reproductive-aged women and is among the highest-volume women's-health search terms, spanning fertility, skin and hair, and weight intent. Trust 3: the lifestyle and dietary levers are self-directed and low-harm, but ovulation-induction drugs (letrozole), anti-androgens (spironolactone, contraindicated in pregnancy) and unregulated slimming/'hormone balance' supplements each carry real risks, so careful restraint and no unsupervised product bridge on the prescription layer. condition Women's 78 live
Premature Ejaculation: what lengthens the time, and how well restraint 'premature ejaculation', 'how to last longer' and 'delay spray' carry high informational and strong commercial search intent among men's-health terms, with no dedicated internal page yet. Careful restraint: the most effective drugs are prescription (dapoxetine is not approved in the US) or off-label, tramadol carries a dependence risk, and the market is saturated with over-the-counter 'delay' products that are relabelled anaesthetics or unproven, so no aggressive product bridge whatever the traffic would be worth. The self-directed levers (pelvic-floor training, the behavioral techniques, communication) lead the page, and a co-existing erection problem is flagged for treatment first. condition Men's 78 live
Resistance Training: What It Does, the Low Dose That Works, and How to Start log: no internal volume. Enormous external volume but saturated by dedicated fitness sites, hence traction 3. Benefit and evidence are the highest available. practice Movement 78 live
Evening Light and Screens: What Helps Your Sleep, and Where the Gadgets Fall Short log: feeds from insomnia 758 and sleep 131. Large external volume on blue light and screen time. Owner-flagged 2026-07-30: its absence from the insomnia guide was a real gap. practice Sleep 77 live
Heat Exposure: What Sauna and Hot Baths Do, and How to Start log: low internal volume (the historical audience searched TCM terms, not modalities). External volume for sauna/infrared is large. Greenfield: no page of ours ranks for it today. practice Heat and cold 77 live
Kidney Stones: What They Are and What Keeps Them From Coming Back restraint High, durable public search interest in 'kidney stones', 'kidney stone diet', 'how to prevent kidney stones' and 'foods that cause kidney stones'; a common, painful, highly recurrent condition where the best evidence points squarely at self-directed diet and fluid changes. Careful restraint and no product bridge: obstruction with fever is a genuine emergency and medication belongs with a prescriber after a urine workup. condition Metabolic 77 live
Periodontitis: saving the teeth restraint Periodontitis and gum disease are high-volume health searches, and it is one of the conditions where the reader's own daily cleaning and smoking status move the disease markedly. Trust 3: the daily cleaning and professional scaling are low-risk and self-directed, but adjunctive antibiotics are prescribed and a periodontal abscess or spreading infection is a same-day matter, so restraint stays careful. condition Senses 77 live
CBT-I: What It Does for Long-Term Insomnia, Why It Beats Pills, and How to Do It restraint log: feeds directly from 'insomnia' 758, the highest-volume unmatched condition term, and 'sleep' 131. Evidence 5: the best-supported behavioural intervention anywhere in this section, and it is free, which is why money is 0. practice Sleep 76 live
The Truth About Dietary Fat owner directive 2026-07-31 (research batch); strong public and creator interest (Topic Radar), search volume not yet measured in the log. science Metabolic 76 live
Endometriosis: what it is, and easing the pain restraint Endometriosis affects roughly 10% of reproductive-aged women and is among the highest-volume women's-health search terms, spanning pain, fertility and ovarian-cyst intent. Evidence 4: hormonal suppression (dienogest, the combined pill, GnRH agonists) and laparoscopic excision have moderate-to-strong trial support for pain and fertility, while diet and supplement data mostly concern risk over years and one randomised supplement trial was null. Trust 2: pain-management, anti-inflammatory eating and pelvic-floor work are self-directed and low-harm, but hormonal drugs, surgery and unregulated slimming or 'hormone balance' products each carry real risks, and a sudden severe pelvic pain can be an emergency, so restraint stays careful with no unsupervised product bridge on the prescription layer. condition Women's 76 live
Enlarged Prostate (BPH): What It Is, What Eases It, and When to Act restraint High, durable public search interest in 'enlarged prostate', 'BPH', 'prostate symptoms', 'tamsulosin', 'saw palmetto' and 'trouble urinating', in a large and aging male audience. Evidence is strong: large randomized trials (MTOPS, CombAT, PLESS) define the medications, and the headline supplement is a clear null. Trust 2 and careful restraint: symptom self-management is genuinely self-directed and low-risk, but acute retention is an emergency and any medication or procedure decision is timed with a prescriber, so no product bridge. Owns the enlarged-prostate story; cancer, PSA and screening stay on prostate-health. condition Men's 75 live
Dementia and Alzheimer's: lowering the risk restraint Dementia and Alzheimer's are among the highest-volume health searches and the healthspan outcome people fear most, spanning prevention, diagnosis, caregiving and the new drugs. Trust 2: the risk-reduction levers are largely self-directed and low-harm, but there is no cure, mild cognitive impairment needs a workup for reversible causes, and every medication decision, especially the anti-amyloid antibodies with their brain-swelling risk, is made with a specialist, so restraint stays careful and there is no product bridge on the treatment layer. condition Mind 75 live
GLP-1 Medications: What They Do, the Trade-offs, and How to Use Them Well external: high consumer search interest (ozempic, semaglutide, glp-1, very high); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice Metabolic 75 live
Pelvic Floor Muscle Training: What It Does, Why Technique Makes It Work, and How to Start log: 'kegel exercises', 'pelvic floor', 'urinary incontinence' and 'how to stop leaking' carry large external search volume across women's health and men's post-prostate-surgery queries; no dedicated internal page yet. Saturated by general health sites, hence traction 3. Evidence and trust are the highest available: Cochrane Level 1 Grade A, first-line for female stress incontinence. practice Pain 75 live
Testosterone Therapy: Who It Helps, What It Does, and the Trade-offs restraint 'low testosterone', 'low T' and 'TRT' are among the highest-volume men's-health terms, carrying strong commercial intent that a saturated market of low-T clinics and 'testosterone booster' supplements already exploits. Sensitive restraint: the diagnosis is narrower than the marketing, the treatment is prescription and lifelong once started, it suppresses fertility and thickens the blood, and the measured picture is a modest sexual-desire benefit rather than an energy or anti-ageing tonic. Reference only, no product bridge; the self-directed levers (weight loss, sleep, treating sleep apnea, resistance training, less alcohol) lead, and whether to treat is a clinician's decision on confirmed morning labs. condition Men's 75 live
Arthritis and Joint Pain: easing it day to day restraint log: 'arthritis' 300, with 'gout' 177 and 'knee pain' 84 alongside, and Du Huo Ji Sheng Tang (694) already ranks for the Bi-syndrome pattern. Trust 2: inflammatory arthritis needs a rheumatologist and delay causes joint damage, so careful restraint. condition Pain 74 live
Is Buying Organic Worth It? owner directive 2026-07-31 (research batch); strong public and creator interest (Topic Radar), search volume not yet measured in the log. practice Metabolic 74 live
CBD: Strong Evidence for Rare Epilepsies, Weak Everywhere Else restraint external: very high consumer search interest (cbd, cbd oil, cbd for anxiety, cbd for sleep, cbd for pain); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice 74 live
Depression: treatment that helps, and where to start restraint log: 'depression' 454, the sixth-highest unmatched condition term, sitting inside an 881-search mood family with 'anxiety' 325 and 'stress' 102. Trust 1: suicide risk and antidepressant interactions, so careful restraint, money 0, and a crisis route on the page. condition Mind 74 live
Epigenetics owner directive 2026-07-31 (research batch); strong public and creator interest (Topic Radar), search volume not yet measured in the log. biology Foundations 74 live
Macular Degeneration: What Protects Your Sight restraint Age-related macular degeneration is a high-volume older-adult search topic spanning AREDS supplement questions, diet, and the wet-versus-dry distinction, and it sits on unusually strong evidence: landmark RCTs (AREDS, AREDS2) for the formula and the beta-carotene safety signal, and the anti-VEGF trials (MARINA, ANCHOR, CATT) for wet disease. Trust 2: the self-directed levers (not smoking, diet) are low-risk and genuinely move the biggest modifiable factor, but supplement choice carries a real safety trap for smokers, and any wet-AMD sight change is a same-day specialist matter, so restraint stays careful. condition Senses 74 live
Microplastics and Plastic Chemicals owner directive 2026-07-31 (research batch); strong public and creator interest (Topic Radar), search volume not yet measured in the log. science Frontier 74 live
Morning Light: What It Does for Your Sleep, Mood, and Body Clock, and How to Get It log: no direct term; feeds from insomnia (758) and depression (454) as the protocol both guides point to. External volume for morning sunlight/circadian is substantial. practice Sleep 74 live
Tretinoin: What It Does for Sun-Aged Skin and Acne, How to Use It, and Who Should Not restraint log: adjacent 'acne' 631, 'wrinkles' and anti-aging interest external and high but saturated by dedicated skincare sites, hence traction 3. Evidence is among the strongest for any topical, with RCTs going back to 1988. practice Skin 74 live
Bipolar disorder: what it is, and what actually helps restraint Bipolar disorder is a high-volume mental-health search term sitting inside the mood family alongside depression and anxiety, and it spans diagnosis, medication, and lived-experience intent. Trust 1: suicide risk, the danger of antidepressant-induced mania, and narrow-therapeutic-index medication (lithium) mean careful restraint, money 0, no product bridge, and a crisis route on the page. condition Mind 73 live
Green Tea and Matcha: What It Does, and the One Catch external: very high consumer search interest (green tea benefits, matcha, EGCG, green tea liver, green tea weight loss); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending. practice Metabolic 73 live
Male Fertility: improving sperm health restraint 'Male fertility', 'sperm count', 'how to improve sperm', 'low sperm count' and 'testosterone and fertility' carry steady informational and commercial intent, and the male side of fertility is under-served relative to the female side. Careful restraint: the market is crowded with sperm-boosting supplements whose live-birth evidence is thin, so the self-directed levers (stopping smoking, weight, alcohol, scrotal heat, sleep) lead the page, with a clear statement that many interventions raise sperm numbers without a shown rise in live births and that testosterone suppresses fertility. condition Men's 73 live
Restless Legs: What Calms the Urge to Move restraint Steady, high public search interest in 'restless legs', 'restless legs remedies', 'what causes restless legs' and 'restless legs iron'. It is a common, sleep-wrecking condition where the strongest lever, checking and repleting iron via serum ferritin, is largely self-directed and low-risk. Trust 3 and careful restraint: iron testing and dietary iron are self-directed, but intravenous iron and the prescription drugs belong with a prescriber, one-sided leg symptoms need clot and neuropathy ruled out, and dopamine-agonist augmentation is a real long-term harm to flag. condition Sleep 73 live
Self-Measures: The Body Numbers You Can Track Yourself, and What Each One Predicts log: no direct term. Traction 5: almost nobody assembles these into one honest page, and it is the free tier under diagnostic-lab-panels, which is the highest-ticket page in the section. measure Movement 73 live
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) restraint log: 'depression' and 'anxiety' route adjacent interest here; no direct 'tms' term measured above the search floor yet. Evidence 4 and trust 4: FDA-cleared for major depression since 2008, with a large sham-controlled meta-analysis, a 414-patient non-inferiority trial (THREE-D) and pivotal RCTs for OCD and smoking cessation, so this is an established clinical treatment. Benefit 4 for a real, consistent effect in treatment-resistant depression. Restraint careful, not open: it is a practitioner-administered device therapy, most people do not remit, the sham response is substantial, durability without maintenance is limited, and it carries a rare seizure risk and hard contraindications. Momentum 4 because accelerated protocols (SAINT/SNT) and theta-burst are a fast-moving frontier. Money 1: clinic-administered, no product to recommend. practice Mind 73 live
Walking: How Many Steps You Need, and Where the Curve Flattens log: no term at any volume. Traction 3: the step-count question is answered everywhere, usually with the 10,000 figure, which has no research origin. Evidence 5 and benefit 5 are what carry it, not search. practice Movement 73 live
Circadian Entrainment: How the Body Clock Gets Set log: no direct term. A hub mechanism for the entire sleep pillar plus the seasonal series, so connectivity carries it. biology Foundations 72 live
Creatine: What It Does, How Much to Take, and the Kidney Question external: high consumer search interest (creatine monohydrate, very high); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice 72 live
Dizziness and Vertigo: Which Kind You Have, and What Helps restraint log: 'dizziness' 216 plus 'vertigo' 166 = 382, already cited as the adjacency under balance and falls. Evidence 4: the Epley manoeuvre has strong trial support. Trust 1: sudden vertigo can be posterior-circulation stroke, so red flags lead and money is 0. condition Senses 72 live
Period Pain (Dysmenorrhea): what eases the cramps restraint log: 'dysmenorrhea' 110 plus 'endometriosis' 172 and 'fibroids' 124, and Wen Jing Tang (680) and Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang (430) are already searched. Evidence 4: topical heat and acupressure both have real trial support. Trust 2: endometriosis is under-diagnosed and the page must say so. condition Women's 72 live
Grip Strength: What It Tells You log: no term at any volume. Evidence 5 rests on the PURE cohort, which measured grip in nearly 140,000 adults across 17 countries. Traction 5: the finding is famous and the page that tells you how to actually measure it is not. measure Movement 72 live
The Low-FODMAP Diet: What It Is, How the Three Phases Work, and What the Evidence Shows log: 'ibs' and 'irritable bowel' plus the bloating and constipation condition terms send readers here; the low-FODMAP diet is the #1 dietary lever for IBS and was the top missing dietary practice. Traction 4: heavily covered by the Monash program and consumer apps, though the three-phase and reintroduction discipline usually is not. Momentum 3: active trial base comparing it to simpler advice and refining the reintroduction. practice Metabolic 72 live
The Placebo Effect external: 'placebo effect' / 'placebo' carry substantial evergreen consumer and student search interest; internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending. Primarily a hub and trust page: it underwrites the two-lens epistemic stance (EDITORIAL-STANDARD §3.5) and is linked from practice pages whose benefit may run partly through expectation, so connectivity and trust carry it more than entry search. biology Foundations 72 live
Protein and Muscle: the dose, the sources, and building it log: 'weight loss' 308, 'obesity' 159 as adjacent intent. Saturated externally, hence traction 3; our angle is the TCM Spleen-and-flesh bridge plus honest dose numbers. practice Metabolic 72 live
Seed Oils: What the Evidence Shows restraint Seed oils are one of the most searched and most argued nutrition topics of the moment, driven by social-media claims of toxicity. Traction 3 because the term is contested and crowded, but our differentiator is an even-handed, evidence-led treatment that neither camp offers. Trust 5 and direction 3 reflect that the honest answer is genuinely two-sided: strong data against the toxicity claim, real cautions on reheated oil and the ultra-processed vehicle. practice Metabolic 72 live
The Sleep Environment: What Changes How You Sleep, the Free Fixes, and When to Buy log: insomnia 758 + night sweats 101 + hot flashes 109 route here. The buying questions in the sleep pillar concentrate on this page rather than on the condition guide. practice Sleep 72 live
Acne: what clears it, in order restraint log: 'acne' 631, the second-highest unmatched condition term in the entire 1.07M log and our single largest condition gap after insomnia. Xiao Feng San (652) and our damp-heat content already cover the pattern side. Trust 2: a largely adolescent audience, so no product bridge. condition Skin 71 live
Doing Hard Things: What the Research on Discipline Actually Found log: no direct term. External interest is large and growing (The Comfort Crisis, Goggins, discipline/habit queries). Scored low on demand deliberately: it earns its traffic through internal links and shares, not search. guide Foundations 71 live
Metformin: A Proven Diabetes Drug and the Open Longevity Question owner directive 2026-08-01 (frontier longevity batch, canonical TAME topic beside berberine, GLP-1 agonists, rapamycin, senolytics); strong public and creator interest (Topic Radar), search volume not yet measured in the log. practice Frontier 71 live
Sleep Apnea: what to try first restraint log: no direct term, which is itself the finding: readers searching insomnia (758) and fatigue (119) may be searching the wrong thing. Its job is to route people to a diagnosis. condition Sleep 71 live
The Minimum Effective Dose of Strength Training log: no term at any volume. It operationalizes the existing resistance-training topic at the dose the trials actually used, and that gap between trial dose and gym-culture dose is the reason it needs its own page. practice Movement 71 live
Weight and Metabolic Health: the levers that matter restraint log: 'weight loss' 308 plus 'obesity' 159 = 467. Traction 2: the most commercially saturated category on the internet and we will not win it on volume. Direction 5: the GLP-1 era means this page has to be built to be rewritten. Trust 2: disordered-eating readers, so careful. condition Metabolic 71 live
Hay Fever (Allergic Rhinitis): what brings relief log: 'allergies' 200 plus 'allergy' 118 plus 'sinusitis' 164 = 482, and Bi Yan Pian (384) is a searched formula with no condition page pointing at it. Traction 5: that formula-to-condition link is ours to make and nobody else has the formula documented. condition Breathing 70 live
Anxiety: what helps, in order restraint log: 'anxiety' 325 + 'depression' 454 + 'stress' 102 = 881 family. Trust 2: vulnerable audience, so no product bridge at all. condition Mind 70 live
Bovine Colostrum: What the Trials Show and the Marketing Around It restraint external: breakout consumer and social search interest in 2024-2025 (bovine colostrum, colostrum supplement, colostrum gut health); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice 70 live
Irritable Bowel Syndrome: calming the gut restraint log: 'ibs' 125 plus 'irritable bowel syndrome' 76 = 201, with 'diarrhea' 268 nearby. Evidence 4: low-FODMAP and gut-directed hypnotherapy both have real trial support. Trust 2: IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion and the red flags matter. condition Metabolic 70 live
Omega-3 and Fish Oil: Clear on Triglycerides, Mixed on the Heart external: high consumer search interest (fish oil, omega 3); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice 70 live
The Oral Microbiome owner directive 2026-07-31 (research batch); strong public and creator interest (Topic Radar), search volume not yet measured in the log. biology Metabolic 70 live
The Post-Meal Walk: How Soon, How Long, and What It Actually Lowers log: diabetes 514 and weight loss 308 are the conditions it feeds. Free, stacks onto an existing daily event, and the mechanism is well measured. practice Metabolic 70 live
VO2max Training: The Fitness That Best Predicts a Long Life, and How to Build It log: no term at any volume. Recurrent UTIs: preventing the next one restraint Recurrent UTI is a high-frequency women's-health search with strong purchase intent around cranberry, D-mannose and hydration, and it maps cleanly onto our TCM Lin syndrome content. Trust 2 and careful restraint: most cases are self-manageable, but pyelonephritis, blood in the urine, pregnancy, and infections in men or children are genuine red flags, so the page leads with self-help and keeps the safety net explicit. condition Women's 69 live
Sciatica: easing the leg pain restraint log: 'sciatica' 152 within the musculoskeletal 'back pain' family of 470, and the nerve-related leg pain split out of the low-back-pain guide, which cross-links to it. Rucking: Walking Under Load, and What the Evidence Covers log: no internal volume. Growing external interest in rucking as a trend, less saturated than resistance training by dedicated fitness sites, hence traction 4. Evidence 3 because the direct rucking trials are limited and most findings are extrapolated from load-carriage and weighted-vest research. practice Movement 67 live
Estimating Your VO2 Max log: no term at any volume. The underlying fitness-and-mortality literature is among the strongest in the section; the honest part of the page is how far a wrist estimate sits from a laboratory measurement. measure Movement 67 live

Nasal Breathing and Mouth Taping: What Each One Does, and the Safety Line on Taping restraint Nasal breathing and mouth taping are trending hard on social media (TikTok, wellness press), so search traction is high while the measured evidence is thin. Strong adjacency to breath-and-hrv and to the respiratory conditions (allergic rhinitis, asthma), and a genuine bridge to the qi gong and yang sheng emphasis on fine, slow nasal breathing. practice Breathing 66 live
NMN and NR: Oral NAD+ Precursors, and What Raising the Marker Does restraint external: sustained consumer and creator interest in NAD+ boosters (NMN/NR) driven by longevity marketing; internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending. Dietary Fiber: What Each Type Does and How Much to Eat log: no direct term for fibre above the 70-search floor; 'constipation' 612, the third-highest unmatched condition term, is what sends readers here. Sleep Regularity: Why a Steady Schedule May Matter More Than Hours log: no direct term; feeds from insomnia (758) and the wider sleep cluster. External interest in sleep regularity and the Sleep Regularity Index is rising fast since the 2024 UK Biobank mortality finding. Pairs closely with morning-light and sleep-environment. practice Sleep 65 live
The Stress Axis (HPA) log: 'stress' 102 is the only direct term, and it is a symptom search rather than a mechanism search. Scored on connectivity: cortisol rhythm is invoked by the sleep, mind, metabolic and women's pillars alike, so a dozen pages will link into it. biology Foundations 65 live

Asthma: getting it under control restraint log: 'asthma' 495, the fifth-highest unmatched condition term, and Ding Chuan ('stop asthma') is already our third most-searched point at 137. Trust 1: asthma kills people who delay a rescue inhaler, so no product and a route to care up front. condition Breathing 64 live
The Gut-Brain Axis log: no direct term; it is fed by 'ibs' 125, 'anxiety' 325 and 'depression' 454. Traction 5: the Chinese medicine reading of the Spleen as the seat of thought and worry is ours to bridge, and the mouse-to-human leap in this field is where most coverage fails. biology Foundations 64 live
NAC and Glycine: A Proven Antidote, a Steady Mucolytic, and the GlyNAC Longevity Story restraint external: rising consumer search interest (NAC, glutathione, GlyNAC longevity); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice 64 live
SIBO: What the Evidence Actually Supports restraint SIBO is a high-volume, purchase-active search term (breath-test kits, elemental formulas, herbal antimicrobial protocols) sitting in the same demand cluster as IBS, bloating and constipation. Evidence 3: rifaximin and low-FODMAP have real trial support but almost all of it is in IBS rather than culture-confirmed SIBO, and the diagnostic test is contested. Trust 2: the diagnosis is unsettled, protocols are heavily marketed, and any antibiotic or acid-blocker decision is timed with a prescriber, so restraint stays careful. condition Metabolic 64 live

Tongkat Ali: What the Trials Actually Show restraint external: sharp rise in consumer search interest in 'tongkat ali' and the 'tongkat ali Fadogia' stack across men's-health media and marketplaces; internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending. Careful restraint: a hype-heavy men's supplement where the measured effect is modest and concentrated in hypogonadal or older men, the trial base is small and partly manufacturer-funded around one branded extract, product quality varies (heavy-metal contamination documented), it is not a testosterone-replacement therapy, and the common stack partner Fadogia agrestis has no human trials plus an animal testicular-toxicity signal. Traction 5 only because that framing is rare. condition Skin 58 live
Waist-to-Height Ratio restraint log: no direct term; 'weight loss' 308 and 'obesity' 159 are the intent behind it. Trust 2 fires the gate: body measurement needs care with readers who have disordered eating, so careful restraint and no product. measure Movement 58 live
Whey vs Whole-Food Protein log: no term for protein above the 70-search floor; it feeds from the existing protein-and-muscle topic. A live buying question with a boring answer, and money 4 is exactly why the answer has to be given that way. compare Metabolic 58 live
Cold Plunge vs Cold Shower restraint log: no internal volume; substantial external comparison intent. Trust 2 carries over from the cold-exposure topic, where cold-shock is a genuine cardiac and drowning risk, so careful restraint and no product bridge despite money 4. compare Heat and cold 57 live
Continuous Glucose Monitoring: A Powerful Tool in Diabetes, a Curiosity in Health restraint external: high consumer search interest (cgm, continuous glucose monitor); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice Metabolic 57 live
Fisetin and Quercetin: The Senolytic Supplements, and What Humans Actually Have restraint external: rising consumer search interest in fisetin and quercetin as senolytic and longevity supplements, driven by the mouse lifespan data and the dasatinib-plus-quercetin research; internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice 57 live
Pacing: How Staying Within Your Energy Envelope Prevents Crashes in ME/CFS and Long COVID restraint log: low internal historical volume (our audience searched TCM terms). External demand is rising fast with long COVID, and there is a safety-critical content gap: pacing is the consensus frontline approach for ME/CFS and long COVID and we have no page. Greenfield, and the approach that competes with it (graded exercise) was dropped from UK national guidance, so accurate coverage matters. practice Foundations 57 live
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF): Devices and Mats restraint owner directive 2026-08-02 (research batch); strong consumer and creator interest around recovery and wellness mats (Topic Radar); search volume not yet measured in the log. practice Pain 57 live
Probiotics: Which Strains Work, For What, and Who Should Take Care restraint external: high consumer search interest (probiotics); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice 57 live
The Gut Microbiome restraint log: no term for 'microbiome' or 'probiotics' above the 70-search floor; 'diarrhea' 268 and 'ibs' 125 are the reader-facing entries. Traction 3: dedicated gut-health sites cover this heavily. Direct-to-consumer microbiome testing is why restraint is careful. science Metabolic 57 live
Slow Breathing vs the Wim Hof Method restraint log: no term at any volume; adjacent 'anxiety' 325 and 'stress' 102. Trust 2: hyperventilation-and-breath-hold protocols have caused blackouts and drownings, so careful restraint. Traction 5 because the comparison is almost never made honestly. compare Mind 56 live
Acid Reflux and GERD: what settles it restraint log: 'acid reflux' 104; 'gerd' and 'heartburn' do not appear above the capped list's 70-search floor, so this is a smaller gap than it feels like and demand is scored 2 rather than assumed. Trust 2: Barrett's red flags and PPI questions force careful restraint. condition Metabolic 56 live
Meditation and Mindfulness restraint log: no term for 'meditation' or 'yoga' above the 70-search floor; 'anxiety' 325 and 'depression' 454 are what send readers here. Trust 3 and careful restraint because meditation-related adverse effects are real, measured, and routinely omitted. practice Mind 56 live
Heat Without a Sauna restraint log: no internal volume for sauna terms. Traction 5: the hot-bath trial literature is real and nearly every page on heat is written by someone selling a cabin, so the cheap routes are structurally under-covered. practice Heat and cold 56 live
Tinnitus: What Helps, What Does Not, and the Signs That Need a Doctor restraint log: 'tinnitus' 416, the eleventh-highest unmatched condition term and one of our largest uncovered gaps, with 'ear' 157 alongside. Trust 1: a desperate audience that is heavily sold supplements, so money 0, no product, and evidence graded at 2 where it belongs. condition Senses 56 live
Yoga Nidra and NSDR: What Guided Deep Rest Does and How to Start log: no direct term above the search floor; adjacent 'anxiety' 325, 'stress' 102, 'insomnia' 758 route here. Momentum 4 because NSDR is a fast-rising popular term (Huberman) with a thin, honest evidence base we can hold both lenses on. Evidence 2 because the trials are small, short, low-quality and geographically concentrated, and the strongest RCT shows only small effects. practice Mind 56 live

Volunteering and Helping Others: A Free Habit Linked to Better Mood, Sharper Aging, and a Longer Life log: no term at any volume. High-Intensity Interval Training: What HIIT Does, and How to Do It Well log: no term at any volume. Enormous external volume, saturated by dedicated fitness sites, so traction is 2. It earns its place as the short route into the VO2max evidence, not as an entry page. practice Movement 54 live
Heart Rate Variability: Reading Your Recovery restraint log: no term at any volume. Traction 5: between-person HRV comparison is not interpretable and no page selling a chest strap will say so. It is the measurement companion to the existing breathwork topic. measure Movement 54 live
Resonance and Entrainment restraint log: no direct term; 'qi' 451 and 'yin yang' 328 are the concept-level curiosity this serves. Traction 5: the split between real baroreflex resonance near six breaths a minute and frequency-healing marketing is not written honestly anywhere we can find. science Foundations 54 live
Autophagy log: no term above the 70-search floor. Traction 5: the gap between the cell-biology evidence and the human-fasting evidence is enormous and almost nobody writes it down, so evidence is scored 2 on the human benefit question rather than on the mechanism. biology Foundations 53 live
BDNF and the Exercising Brain log: no term at any volume. It is the mechanism the movement pillar hands to the mind pillar, and serum BDNF is a weak proxy for brain BDNF, which is the correction the page exists to make. biology Foundations 53 live
GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide): What It Does for Skin, the Evidence, and Why the Injected Form Is Untested restraint log: copper peptide and GHK-Cu ride the peptide-skincare trend with rising external interest, though niche next to retinoids and vitamin C; internally it links from tretinoin, collagen, vitamin-c and the Skin & Hair goal. Evidence 2: strong cell and animal mechanism, but the human record is one small randomized trial that was null on objective measures, and much of the literature is authored by the commercial developer. Trust 3 and careful restraint because the injectable/systemic route is grey-market with unknown safety. practice Skin 53 live
Gratitude Practice log: no term at any volume; adjacent 'depression' 454. External interest is large and the trial record is weaker than the popular version. Traction 3: crowded space, and our honest read is the only lever we have in it. practice Mind 53 live

Apigenin: The Chamomile Flavonoid Sold for Sleep, and What Is Actually Known external: high and rising consumer search interest in apigenin as a sleep supplement, driven by popular evening supplement stacks; adjacent internal terms 'insomnia' and 'anxiety' route here. Evidence 1 because no trial has tested isolated apigenin in people and the chamomile trials are small, mixed, and include clear nulls (insomnia severity, state anxiety). Momentum 4 because it is a fast-rising popular term with a thin, honest evidence base we can hold both lenses on. practice Sleep 50 live
The Carnivore Diet: What It Is, What People Report, and What Is Actually Known restraint Popular and rising through social media and low-carbohydrate communities, so momentum is high, but the direct evidence is a single self-selected survey, which holds evidence and benefit at 2. Trust 2 fires the careful restraint: no product bridge, honest concerns led with the reason people try it and stated at full weight. practice Metabolic 50 live
Heat and Cold: Contrast Therapy restraint log: no internal volume. Traction 4: the protocol is everywhere in recovery marketing and the head-to-head evidence against heat alone or cold alone barely exists, so saying where the evidence stops is the value. practice Heat and cold 50 live

Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) log: no term at any volume. Split out from the broader nature topic because conflating the shinrin-yoku trials with the green-space mortality cohorts is the standard error, and the two deserve separate grading. practice Mind 49 live
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS): What the Evidence Supports restraint log: the pre-2020 search log carries some volume for 'chronic fatigue' but ME/CFS is distinct from the higher-volume 'fatigue' term (119), so demand is scored low rather than borrowed from the fatigue page. It earns its place on trust 1, since graded exercise can harm this group and a marketplace of unproven treatments targets it, and on direction 4, since the guideline shift is recent and research is active. Connectivity 4: it links fatigue, long COVID, sleep and orthostatic intolerance. condition Foundations 48 live
L-Theanine: The Calm-Alert Amino Acid in Tea, and What It Does external: high consumer search interest (l-theanine); internal 1.07M-log cross-reference pending practice 48 live

Mobility and Stretching: What It Reliably Does, and How to Build Usable Range log: no term at any volume. Included because the honest answer differs sharply from the marketed one. Evidence 2 reflects the real trial record for the claims people believe, not the popularity of the practice. practice Movement 47 live
Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS): What the Program Is and What the Evidence Shows restraint log: modest but real search interest in brain retraining for chronic illness, rising with long COVID. Micronutrient Inadequacy and the Triage Theory restraint log: no direct search term. External interest comes from the longevity and supplement world, where the triage theory is cited as a reason to supplement broadly, which is why restraint is careful: the population-shortfall data are solid but the theory is unproven in humans and the multivitamin trials are largely null. science Foundations 45 live

BPC-157: What the Peptide Is and What the Evidence Actually Shows Strong and rising biohacking, athlete, and creator interest in BPC-157 for injury and tendon recovery (Topic Radar); internal search volume not measured in the log. Psilocybin: What the Trials Show for Depression and End-of-Life Distress log: no term at meaningful volume. Momentum 5: phase 2b and phase 3 programmes in depression are reading out.
